Humble beginnings
The Alignment Project Story
The first time I really felt the blessing of helping others was my senior year in high school. My church asked if I would go once a week to a facility that worked with severely challenged children. Each week during the summer, I would go and tell the kids a Bible story. One time I decided to mix things up and I sang to them. Well if you know me, even a little, you know I can’t sing, not even a tiny bit. But the kids didn’t care that I couldn’t sing. They only cared that I showed up, saw, and acknowledged them.
